5* hotel in Central London expect more than “basic paint-jobs.” Key skills and competencies include: * High proficiency in surface preparation (sanding, filling, priming), application of paint, varnish, wallpaper, and possibly decorative finishes (varnish, stain, special coatings) for walls, woodwork, ceilings etc. * Ability to deliver flawless, high-quality finishes — there’s a premium on attention to detail, neatness, and minimal disruption (especially in guest areas). * Manual dexterity, physical stamina (standing, bending, working at height if needed, carrying materials) and ability to handle a variety of tasks (sometimes including minor repairs, maintenance touches, or finishing trades). * Working in a 5-star (or luxury) hotel brings extra expectations: * Experience working in a hotel environment — or at least in commercial, high-end, or heritage buildings — is often either “preferred” or “strongly desired.” * High standard of personal presentation: because you represent the hotel and may sometimes be working in guest-occupied or public areas, neat appearance and professionalism matter. * Working schedule: Monday to Friday job, 40hours, from 9am to 5.30pm
