Candidate requirements:
- City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2/3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repairs or a similar field
- Car Driving licence
- Strong knowledge of vehicle legislation
- Supervisory/Managerial Experience within the Bus sector is essential
Engineering Manager Main Duties:
- Lead, motivate, and support a team of skilled engineering professionals
- Ensuring the fleet of PSVs are maintained to DVSA standards
- Ensure full compliance
- Monitor and control departmental budgets and costs
- Drive performance to minimise vehicle downtime and lost mileage
- Conduct staff training, performance reviews, and development planning
- Ensure compliance with statutory vehicle maintenance requirements and quality standards
- Develop and implement engineering processes and continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage subcontracted engineering work and contractor performance
- Uphold a positive and proactive safety culture across the team
