If you are an estimator with a good level of experience and you want to have more input, then this role may be for you. This is a pivotal position within the estimating function, with plenty of client contact and increasing responsibility.
The Role:
This is a hands-on role with responsibility for the production of Electrical tenders. You will need to breakdown client enquiries, organise or complete the required surveys, and prepare detailed Electrical estimates, tenders, and quotations to ensure that opportunities are being accurately estimated competitively, successfully, and profitably. You will also support the business in client meetings and estimation/tender presentations to help secure tendered opportunities. Using relevant industry experience, you will be expected to help develop and refine the estimation process to improve efficiency, clarity, and accuracy while reducing overall costs. The role will require experience with residential and commercial projects, with typical values ranging between £50,000 and £5m.
- Tender documents and preparing estimates as necessary
- Managing the preparation of Bills of Quantities, sub-contract and material enquiries
- Interact with clients in a professional manner in person
- Preparing budget estimates and cost plans

Requirements:
As an estimator, you would be expected to have a solid understanding of Electrical estimating and previous experience in the construction industry, ideally as an estimator in a similar role. You should have an established background in Estimating, Quantity Surveying, Project & Bid Management, allowing you to understand and interpret detailed Technical Works Scope documentation and identify, quantify, and mitigate areas of commercial risk. You will also need the ability to plan your workload with others to ensure delivery to client deadlines. The work is predominantly in the residential market, so you would need to have experience in that sector as well.
Remuneration:
