We’re looking for an experienced Human Resources & Talent Acquisition Manager to build, embed and lead our entire HR function. This is a hands‑on, highly visible role at the heart of our business — perfect for someone who thrives on autonomy, impact, and shaping culture.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic HR Leadership
    • Build and lead a fully embedded HR function
    • Partner with Directors on people strategy & workforce planning
    • Ensure compliance across employment law, ACAS, and internal policy
    • Oversee BrightHR, contracts, handbook & policy frameworks
  • Talent Acquisition
    • Manage end‑to‑end hiring across all teams
    • Develop talent pipelines to fuel our growth
    • Champion James Leighton as an employer of choice
  • Employee Relations
    • First point of contact for staff support, ER issues, disciplinaries & grievances
    • Liaise with external legal advisers
    • Coach managers through performance and capability processes

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a standalone HR or People role
  • Strong hands‑on recruitment experience
  • Solid understanding of UK employment law
  • Excellent communication & leadership skills

Nice to have:

  • CIPD Level 5+, experience in financial services, BrightHR knowledge
