We are currently recruiting for a Transport Planner to join our established team based in Yate. The successful candidate will be working 10am to 7pm Monday to Friday. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and enthusiastic with prior experience working in transport planning and scheduling. A good geographical knowledge is essential.

  • Create daily transport plans for timber and sheet material deliveries throughout the South-West region.
  • Optimise routing for a fleet of rigid vehicles to ensure maximum utilisation.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and the capacity to make decisions in fast-changing operational environments.
  • Excellent communication skills for working with drivers, hauliers, warehouse staff, sales teams, and customers to ensure service reliability.
  • Handle issues such as re-deliveries, failed deliveries, customer-specific delivery requirements, and returns.
  • Strong understanding of HGV operations and load security.
  • Organising vehicle inspections, servicing, and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with driver hours and working time regulations.
