Lathams Limited is seeking a Warehouse Operative to join our team in Fareham, Hampshire, United Kingdom. As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for performing a variety of warehouse duties, including receiving and processing incoming stock, picking and filling orders, packing and shipping orders, and managing and organizing inventory. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment and ensuring that all health and safety policies and procedures are followed.
Will be working in a 5/6 man team.
On two weeks early shift 5am-2pm, then two weeks late shift 1.30pm – 10.30pm.
Mon-Fri excluding bank holidays and Christmas shutdown.
Responsibilities
- Receive and process incoming stock and materials
- Pick and fill orders from stock
- Manage, organize and retrieve stock in the warehouse
- Package and ship orders to customers
- Inspect products for defects and damages
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
- Follow health and safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a warehouse or distribution centre
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time
- Forklift certification is a plus
