The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 € per year.
As a Transport Planner at Lathams you will support the current transport operation in the management of route planning and customer service, ensuring every customer receives excellent customer service. You will provide the communication link between customers and drivers and keep sales informed of all failed services or significant delays. You will be expected to review driver routes and plan to maximise efficiency, taking into account your driver’s daily activities in line with the Working Time Directive and Driving hours. You will also supervise and manage driver workloads and monitor driver performance.
Responsibilities
- You will be a competent decision maker, highly motivated and enthusiastic, preferably with load planning experience from your prior experience working as Transport Planner or similar.
- You will need excellent administrative and IT skills and enjoy working as part of a team but also be able to manage your own workload, under pressure and to deadlines.
- Previous experience within a fast-paced transport planning position would be advantageous as would experience of using system-based planning tools.
- Good geographical knowledge will be necessary as will strong customer service skills.
Schedule
We have two available positions for this role based at our Leeds site, one starting at a negotiable start time of around 6am and the other late morning to cover into the evening till 10pm.
