Skilled Operative/Ganger (Civils Engineering) The Opportunity: Our client, a prominent civil engineering contractor, is looking for a dedicated Skilled Operative/Ganger to join their team. Working alongside the Site Foreman, you will be responsible for completing designated tasks on-site, ensuring the work is done safely, with zero defects, and with minimal environmental impact. Key Responsibilities: Maintain plant and equipment required for the works, ensuring they are received and returned in good condition. Ensure compliance with method statements and risk assessments. Check the accuracy of delivery tickets, addressing inaccuracies with the Site Foreman. Maintain job competence and stay current with industry practices. Ensure a safe working environment, adhering to Health and Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards. Always wear appropriate PPE. Properly store materials and minimize waste, including waste segregation for disposal. Ensure sites are left clean and tidy upon completion. Supervise a General Operative or Trainee when required.
