Senior Quantity Surveyor Groundworks & Civils

Location : Kent (with travel across London and the South East)

Contract Type : Permanent or Freelance

A well-established civil engineering and groundworks contractor is expanding and now seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. Youll take ownership of infrastructure and groundworks packages from pre-contract through to final account, working across high-value sites in London and the Home Counties.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare take-offs and support tender reviews
• Measure works and produce valuations
• Manage variations, forecasts, and interim applications
• Monitor budgets and resource allocation
• Procure and manage subcontractor accounts
• Support claims and assess commercial risks
• Maintain internal commercial procedures

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 5 years experience in groundworks and civils
• Strong contractual and commercial understanding
• Excellent communication and time management
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable Requirements

• CSCS card
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering
• RICS or equivalent membership
