We are working with a well-established civil engineering subcontractor delivering the earthworks scope on a high-value infrastructure scheme in the Portsmouth area. With a strong track record on complex highways and civils projects, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to lead delivery on site.
The Role:
- Oversee planning, delivery, and commercial control of earthworks packages
- Manage subcontractor teams and ensure compliance with RAMS, ITPs, and QA procedures
- Lead programme development and short-term look-aheads (MS Project / P6)
- Handle change control, forecasting, and NEC contract administration
- Liaise with the wider delivery team to resolve technical and logistical issues
- Drive health & safety standards through toolbox talks and site audits
About You:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in a subcontractor environment
- Strong understanding of earthworks, civils, and commercial delivery pressures
- Confident with programming, reporting, and stakeholder coordination
- SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold), and full UK driving licence required
