A leading UK civil engineering and enabling works contractor with a £300m+ turnover is looking to appoint a Pre-Construction Technical Manager to support its growing civils division. The business is based in North Kent and delivers major earthworks, enabling works, remediation, infrastructure and ground engineering packages across the UK.
Role Overview
The Pre-Construction Technical Manager will support early-stage project development, technical assurance and bid preparation on major civils and enabling schemes. You will work closely with estimating, planning, engineering and delivery teams to ensure robust, buildable and competitive technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical input for tenders, feasibility studies and pre-construction planning
- Review drawings, specifications and client documents
- Develop methodologies, sequencing and buildability solutions
- Support value engineering and risk identification
- Provide technical assurance across civils, earthworks, remediation and enabling works
- Liaise with clients, designers and internal teams
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety requirements
Experience Required
- Background in civil engineering, ideally with experience in:
