A specialist civil engineering subcontractor delivering a new concrete sewage treatment facility is looking for an experienced Site Engineer to take ownership of engineering delivery on a technically demanding package of works. This role suits someone who is confident with RC structures, water industry standards, and the day-to-day coordination of site teams.
The Role
- Setting out for RC bases, walls, chambers, tanks and associated civils
- Managing levels, grids, control points and as-built records
- Working directly with the clients engineering and design teams to resolve technical queries
- Reviewing drawings, raising RFIs and supporting design changes
- Coordinating and supervising site gangs, including steel fixers, shuttering carpenters and groundworkers
- Ensuring works are delivered to spec, tolerances and programme
- Maintaining QA documentation, ITPs and check sheets
- Supporting RAMS, safety briefings and daily coordination with the Site Manager
About You
- Strong background in reinforced concrete, civils, or water treatment infrastructure
- Experience on sewage works / wastewater / clean water projects is a major advantage
- Confident dealing with client engineers and resolving design issues
- Able to lead and coordinate subcontractor gangs on fast-moving work fronts
- Competent with TS, GPS, AutoCAD and modern surveying equipment
- Strong understanding of QA processes and documentation
- SMSTS or SSSTS bonus
- Thames Water Passport bonus
