We are working with a well-established precision engineering business looking to strengthen their machining team with an experienced CNC Miller. This is a setting-focused role, suited to someone confident with setups, tooling and offsets, working within a busy subcontract environment producing varied components.
Shift Options:
- Days: Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 4:00pm, Friday 7:00am - 1:00pm
- Permanent Lates: Monday - Thursday 4:00pm - 2:30am (+20% shift allowance)
Overtime: Available and paid at a premium (regular and ongoing)
The Role:
- Setting and operating CNC milling machines
- Working across 3, 4 & 5 axis machining centres
- Producing components to tight tolerances from engineering drawings
- Tool setting, offsets and minor program edits at the machine
- Working across one-offs, small batch and repeat subcontract work
- Carrying out in-process inspection to ensure quality standards
Machines & Controls:
- Mazak / Mazatrol
- Doosan
- Fanuc
- Heidenhain (3/4/5 axis)
What We're Looking For:
- Strong experience as a CNC Miller - Setter / Operator
- Confident with machine setups, tooling and offsets
- Experience within a subcontract environment preferred
- Ability to read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances
- Program editing or programming experience advantageous but not essential
- Reliable, proactive and quality-focused
