CNC Turner Setter OperatorSarting Salary CIRCA: £16.00 per hour (DOE)Hours: Monday–Thursday 7am–4:00pm | Friday 7am–12pm34 days holiday + pension and overtimeAn excellent opportunity is available for an experienced CNC Turner / CNC Lathe Setter Operator to join a well-established precision engineering business.We are keen to speak with experienced CNC Turners who are confident setting and operating CNC lathes and producing precision components to tight tolerances.CNC Turner Setter Operator – The RoleYou will be responsible for setting and operating CNC lathes to manufacture precision components accurately and efficiently.Key duties will include:Setting and operating CNC turning machinesSetting tooling and workholding equipmentSetting and clocking componentsRunning established CNC programsMaking tool offset and wear adjustments where requiredProducing first-off componentsWorking accurately from engineering drawingsManufacturing components to tight tolerancesUsing standard shop-floor measuring and inspection equipmentMonitoring components throughout the machining process to maintain qualityEditing programs depending using Fanuc or HAASCNC Turner Setter Operator – About YouWe would like to hear from candidates with practical experience within CNC turning / CNC lathe machining.Ideally, you will have:Previous experience setting and operating CNC lathesA good understanding of CNC turning processesThe ability to read and work from engineering drawingsExperience setting tools and componentsThe ability to carry out basic program and offset adjustmentsExperience using measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers and gaugesExperience producing precision components to close tolerancesThe ability to edit programmes would be advantageous but is not essential, and additional training can be provided.Candidates whose CNC turning experience forms part of a wider machining, toolmaking or precision engineering background are also encouraged to apply.CNC Turner Setter Operator – PackageSarting Salary CIRCA: £16.00 per hour (DOE)Hours: Monday–Thursday 7am–4:00pm | Friday 7am–12pm34 days holiday + pension and overtimeOvertime availableOvertime paid at enhanced ratesPermanent positionTraining and development opportunities
