A highly advanced precision engineering company supplying complex components to the aerospace, defence and advanced engineering sectors is seeking an experienced CNC Miller / Team Leader to join its machining division. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong programming, setting and operating experience on Mazak 3 and 5 Axis machining centres, alongside the ability to support and lead a small team within a fast-paced precision manufacturing environment. The business operates some of the latest machining technology available and manufactures highly complex components to extremely tight tolerances.
CNC Miller / Team Leader Responsibilities
- Programming, setting and operating Mazak CNC milling machines
- Working across complex 3 and 5 Axis machining applications
- Supporting and leading a team of machinists
- Ensuring production targets, quality standards and delivery schedules are achieved
- Assisting with process improvements and problem solving on the shop floor
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining high engineering standards
CNC Miller / Team Leader Required Experience
- Strong background programming, setting and operating Mazak CNC milling machinery
- Experience with 3 Axis and 5 Axis machining
- Previous experience machining complex precision components
