About the Role
At SPAR, every day is different. As a Retail & Food to Go Assistant, you'll play an important role in keeping our store running smoothly while providing great service and delicious food for our customers.
Working as part of a friendly and supportive team, you'll have the opportunity to develop your skills, gain valuable experience and take advantage of training and progression opportunities.
Here’s What You Can Expect to be Doing
You'll have a varied role across the store and food-to-go area, including:
- Delivering excellent, friendly customer service
- Operating the till and handling cash accurately
- Replenishing stock and ensuring products are readily available
- Preparing and baking our delicious range of food-to-go products
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, allergen awareness and labelling
- Keeping equipment, machinery and the store clean and sanitised
- Helping to control costs and reduce waste
- Supporting store security and following company procedures
- Working closely with colleagues to keep the store running smoothly
