About the Role

As a Deli Manager, you’ll lead our deli operation to deliver outstanding service and high‑quality fresh food to our customers every day. You’ll be responsible for managing the deli team, driving sales, maintaining excellent food safety standards, and ensuring the department is always welcoming, well‑stocked, and presented to the highest standard. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you’ll inspire your team, support their development, and create a positive environment that keeps customers coming back.

Here’s What You Can Expect to be Doing

  • Leading, motivating, and developing the deli team on a daily basis
  • Delivering excellent customer service and creating a friendly shopping experience
  • Preparing, baking, and presenting our range of fresh deli products to a high standard
  • Managing stock control, ordering, waste, and product availability
  • Driving sales opportunities and maintaining strong product knowledge across the team
  • Ensuring compliance with food safety, allergen awareness, labelling, and hygiene standards
  • Monitoring department performance and maintaining high operational standards
  • Planning team rotas and supporting with training and onboarding
  • Keeping counters, displays, equipment, and work areas clean, safe, and sanitised at all times
  • Leading by example and supporting wider store operations where needed
