About the Role
As a Post Office Assistant, you’ll play a key role in providing a wide range of Post Office services to our customers. Working in a dedicated Post Office branch, you’ll deliver excellent customer service while ensuring transactions are accurate, compliant, and efficient. You’ll work as part of a professional, supportive team to keep the branch running smoothly and provide a positive experience for every customer.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Serving customers at the Post Office counter, delivering friendly and professional service.
- Processing the full suite of Post Office transactions such as postage, parcels, bill payments, banking services, travel money, identity services, savings products, and vehicle licensing.
- Handling complex and regulated services, ensuring compliance with Post Office procedures.
- Reconciling daily transactions and cash, maintaining accuracy and security.
- Providing advice and guidance to customers on Post Office products and services.
- Staying up to date with new services, policies, and system updates.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth branch operations.
- Reporting issues, fraud concerns, or compliance breaches promptly to management.
