About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and organised Dispatch Operator to coordinate the efficient and timely dispatch of vehicles, drivers, goods, or services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily dispatch operations, communicating with drivers and customers, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring all deliveries or collections are completed safely and efficiently.

- Coordinate and schedule daily deliveries, collections, and driver routes.
- Allocate jobs to drivers and ensure they have the correct instructions and documentation.
- Monitor vehicle and driver movements throughout the day.
- Communicate with drivers, customers, suppliers, and internal departments regarding delivery and collection requirements.
- Respond quickly and professionally to delays, route changes, breakdowns, or other operational issues.
- Maintain accurate dispatch records, including job status, delivery times, vehicle details, and driver information.
- Update internal systems and databases with relevant operational information.
- Ensure all dispatch activities comply with company procedures, health and safety requirements, and relevant legislation.
- Monitor delivery schedules and take action to minimise delays.
- Liaise with customers to provide delivery updates and resolve queries where required.
- Prepare and check dispatch paperwork and documentation.
- Assist with planning routes and maximising vehicle and driver utilisation.
- Report operational issues to management and **escalate** urgent matters appropriately.
- Support the wider operations team with general administrative and coordination duties.
