Our client is a leading construction organisation, operational across every sector of the industry offering full construction capability, complemented by Off-Site manufacturing. Extensive research is employed across each sector, particularly in the applied use of Modern Methods of Construction, ensuring that their clients benefit from a culture of continuous improvement, both in their product and people. Due to an ongoing commitment to quality and a healthy workload, they are now looking to recruit a talented individual to join their winning team.

The role is essential in ensuring that all preconstruction works are carried out to the highest standards. You will work closely with design teams, programme managers and technical staff to review design proposals, employers’ requirements and specifications. In addition, you will provide practical guidance to support project delivery across various stages of design whilst covering a broad spectrum of different projects.

The key responsibilities would be developing and working with:

  • Technical department to progress the preconstruction activities.
  • A range of Architects and Engineers on design development.
  • All statutory authorities.
  • Estimating Team to ensure practical and affordable build solutions.
  • Programme Managers to ensure project milestones are met as we work towards site start.
  • The supply chain to ensure the business stays at the forefront of product development.

Skills:

  • Technical knowledge/expertise in construction planning.
  • Background in Assistant or Site Management or Trade Background.
  • Student completing degree in Construction Management.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, building regulations and industry standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and design details.
  • IT skills/Microsoft Project.
  • Knowledge of Commercial and Contractual management.
  • Be proactive and make informed decisions in a timely manner.
  • Attention to details and presentation.
  • Work to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with good interpersonal skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
