Our client is a well-established and growing construction business delivering high-quality residential and commercial developments across the region. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Construction Quality Inspector / Compliance Coordinator to support quality assurance and technical compliance across a broad range of projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in construction, site management, technical inspections or quality assurance. The company is also open to considering ambitious graduates or academics within construction, building surveying or related disciplines who are looking to develop their career within a progressive construction environment.
Working closely with the Senior Compliance Manager, Technical Department and site teams, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving quality standards across multiple developments.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out site inspections, audits and compliance reviews
- Monitor workmanship and ensure works are completed to company and industry standards
- Identify defects, non-conformances and areas for improvement
- Assist in implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support the development of company quality procedures, standards and specifications
- Provide technical guidance to site teams, subcontractors and project managers
- Produce technical reports and compliance documentation
- Review construction details, drawings and specifications
- Assist with quality planning, quality assurance and quality control processes
- Support the prevention of design and on-site defects across projects
- Background within construction, technical inspection, site management or quality assurance
- Experience as a Quality Inspector, Clerk of Works, Assistant Site Manager, Structural Warranty Surveyor or similar would be advantageous
- Graduates or students completing a degree in Construction, Building Surveying or related disciplines are also encouraged to apply
- Strong understanding of construction methods, building regulations and industry standards
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Project
- Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Full UK driving licence required
