We are working with a Family-Owned Main Contractor to recruit a Project Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Aberdeen. This is a great opportunity to work on projects up to 20million in both the public and private sectors.
Your duties will include:
- Managing costs and developing projects cost plans.
- Carrying out commercial activities relating to projects..
- Working with the Project Manager and Commercial Manager to ensure full understanding of all commercial matters.
- Liaising with design and operational teams throughout the full project lifecycle..
- Procurement of subcontractors.
- Producing valuations and commercial reports, as well as identifying variations.
To be successful for this role, you will:
- Be degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or possess equivalent qualifications.
- Ideally you will have experience working with a main contractor in a similar role.
- Have a strong working knowledge of Commercial Contracts.
- Experience working on a commercial, education, health and residential projects is preferred. You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with a strong working knowledge or Microsoft Office and other IT packages.
