A well-established civil engineering and infrastructure contractor delivering a wide range of projects across Scotland is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team, covering works across the East of Scotland.
Location: East of Scotland (multi-site role)
The Role as Project Manager
- Responsible for leading the successful delivery of civil engineering projects from pre-construction through to completion.
- Overseeing planning, design coordination, procurement and site delivery.
- Leading and managing site teams, including Site Managers and Supervisors.
- Ensuring all works are delivered in line with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
- Producing and maintaining project documentation, programmes and HSQE plans.
- Managing budgets, cost control and overall project performance.
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and supply chain partners.
- Administering contracts with a strong focus on NEC forms of contract, including compensation events, early warnings and change management.
- Working closely with commercial teams to ensure projects remain financially viable and compliant.
- Carrying out regular site inspections, audits and progress reviews.
- Supporting and mentoring team members to drive performance and development.
About You
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within civil engineering.
- Strong NEC contract knowledge and commercial awareness (essential).
- Demonstrable experience delivering infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.
- SMSTS certification (essential).
- CSCS card (essential).
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Proactive and solutions-focused approach to project delivery.
