We’re looking for a Civil Engineer to join a growing engineering and design consultancy, delivering high-quality solutions for power and energy infrastructure projects – including substations, grid connections, and renewable energy facilities – alongside exciting work across sectors such as industrial, defence, and transportation.
What you’ll be doing:
- Designing and specifying civil works for large-scale projects, including drainage, external works, earthworks, and utilities.
- Producing detailed drawings, specifications, and reports to high technical standards.
- Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver safe, efficient, and sustainable solutions.
- Reviewing calculations and subcontractor designs for compliance and quality.
- Supporting and mentoring early-career engineers while contributing to technical excellence and best practice.
What we’re looking for:
- Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
- Experience delivering projects in one or more sectors (power sector experience desirable).
- Working towards Chartered or Incorporated status (e.g. ICE or IStructE).
- Strong experience in drainage design, earthworks, and external works.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD (or similar) for modelling, layouts, and drafting.
- Good knowledge of Eurocodes, British Standards, CDM regulations, and BIM processes.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
- Eligibility for security clearance (essential for certain projects).
