Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver high‑quality electrical designs for projects across various sectors.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create integrated MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) solutions that meet project requirements.
  • Evaluate and ensure compliance with UK engineering standards, codes, and best practices in all designs.
  • Contribute to conceptual and detailed designs, ensuring cost efficiency, sustainability, and energy efficiency.
  • Perform electrical load calculations, lighting design (lux level calculations), cable routing, and protection schemes as needed.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation, including specifications, calculations, reports, and drawings.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and contribute to project estimations, including budgets and timelines.
  • Liaise directly with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Advocate for sustainable design practices to minimize environmental impact.
  • Participate in mentoring junior engineers and fostering an inclusive team culture.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in UK Engineering Design (MEP) and Electrical Design, including hands‑on practice with relevant software/tools.
  • Familiarity with UK building regulations, BS standards, and relevant codes of practice.
