Senior Fire Engineer Location: London, Bristol, Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester | Hybrid Working

James Gray Recruitment is working with a major multidisciplinary engineering consultancy looking to strengthen its established Fire Engineering team with an experienced Senior Fire Engineer.

This is a great opportunity to join a highly respected engineering business, working on a varied portfolio of complex projects while taking greater ownership of project delivery, client relationships and technical work.

The Role

You'll work as part of an experienced Fire Engineering team while collaborating with specialists from across the wider business.

Key responsibilities will include

  • Leading the fire engineering delivery on your own projects.
  • Developing fire strategies and practical fire safety solutions.
  • Working directly with clients and multidisciplinary design teams.
  • Managing projects through different stages of design and delivery.
  • Providing technical advice and producing high-quality reports.
  • Supporting and developing less experienced engineers.
  • Contributing to client relationships and future project opportunities.

What We're Looking For

We're keen to speak with experienced Fire Engineers who have

  • Strong UK fire engineering consultancy experience.
  • Experience producing and delivering fire strategies.
  • A relevant Fire Engineering or Engineering qualification.
  • Good knowledge of UK fire regulations and design guidance.
  • Experience managing projects and communicating directly with clients.
  • Confidence working within multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Chartership isn't essential, although candidates who are Chartered or actively working towards it would be particularly well suited.

Experience across complex buildings, infrastructure or other technically challenging projects would also be advantageous.
