Are you a Senior Project Manager with a background in civil infrastructure, looking to deliver projects that truly make an impact? I am currently working with a well-established and highly regarded organisation that has secured a strong pipeline of work across the defence and nuclear sectors for the next 3–5 years. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Project Manager to support a complex and growing portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering critical infrastructure projects within a secure and highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the delivery of complex civil and infrastructure projects across the full lifecycle
  • Provide client‑side project management from early‑stage design through to construction and handover
  • Manage programme, cost, risk, quality and stakeholder engagement
  • Establish and maintain effective governance and reporting structures
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors and stakeholders
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget
  • Support and mentor junior team members
  • Contribute to bid submissions and business development activities

About You

  • Strong background in civil engineering or infrastructure project delivery
  • Experience delivering projects within regulated environments (defence, nuclear, rail, water or similar)
  • Working knowledge of NEC contracts
  • Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder environments
  • Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
  • Experience working with or alongside government or public sector clients is beneficial

Requirements

  • Minimum 5–6 years’ experience in a project management role within civil infrastructure
  • Degree qualified (or equivalent experience) in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • Professional accreditation (APM, PRINCE2 or similar) desirable
  • Ability to obtain Security Clearance (SC)
  • Must be a British National due to the nature of the projects
