A leading main contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support the delivery of multiple affordable housing developments across Scotland. Working closely with the senior leadership team, you will take responsibility for managing projects from pre‑construction through to completion, ensuring programme, commercial, quality, and client objectives are achieved throughout the full project lifecycle. This is a key leadership role within the business, offering the opportunity to manage complex developments while working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects through pre‑construction, construction, and handover phases
- Manage design development, procurement, programme, and operational delivery
- Coordinate internal teams, consultants, subcontractors, and stakeholders
- Drive programme performance and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Work closely with commercial teams to monitor financial performance and value engineering opportunities
- Manage planning conditions, statutory approvals, utilities, and technical requirements
- Lead client meetings, project reviews, and progress reporting
- Identify and manage project risks, buildability, and compliance requirements
- Support business development activities, tender submissions, and client relationships
- Ensure all projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction
Requirements
- Proven experience operating as a Senior Project Manager within a main contractor or developer environment
- Strong background delivering residential or affordable housing developments
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong commercial awareness and programme management experience
- Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously
- Experience using ASTA Power Project or equivalent planning software
- HNC/HND, SVQ Level 5, or equivalent construction‑related qualification
