A leading main contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a high‑value public sector project in the North East of Scotland. This flagship scheme has a programme of approximately 2 years and offers the opportunity to take full ownership of a major project from construction through to handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full responsibility as No.1 on site, leading the project from inception through to completion
  • Manage project delivery in line with programme, budget, and quality expectations
  • Work closely with the commercial team to monitor and report on financial performance
  • Develop and manage the master programme and sequencing of works
  • Ensure all health & safety procedures and construction phase plans are in place and adhered to
  • Lead and coordinate subcontractors and the wider supply chain
  • Drive productivity, quality, and programme performance on site
  • Oversee commissioning and handover, ensuring a high‑quality, snag‑free finish

Requirements

  • Proven experience operating as a Senior Project Manager / No.1 on high‑value construction projects
  • Background with a Tier 1 main contractor preferred
  • Experience delivering large‑scale public sector projects
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders
  • Degree qualified in a construction‑related discipline or from a relevant trade background
