Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bid Coordinator with expertise in UK Engineering Design - MEP and MEP Coordination to join our growing team. Responsibilities

• Leading the coordination and production of high-quality bids and proposals in line with client requirements, timelines, and company standards.
• Supporting the bid development process by gathering and organizing relevant information, including project scope, costs, timelines, and documentation submissions.
• Ensuring technical content is aligned with client requirements, with a focus on UK Engineering Design - MEP and best practices in MEP Coordination.
• Collaborating across teams and departments to compile necessary inputs for proposals, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
• Maintaining a centralized repository of bid documents, templates, and records for efficiency and compliance with internal and external standards.
• Participating in bid review meetings and assisting in post-bid evaluations to identify areas for future performance improvement.
• Building strong relationships with stakeholders, including clients, engineers, and internal teams, to ensure seamless coordination of activities.
• Contributing to the promotion of equity and inclusion by valuing diverse perspectives and ensuring accessibility in proposal materials when needed.

Qualifications

Essential

• Proven experience in bid coordination or management, especially in UK Engineering Design - MEP and MEP Coordination.
• Strong understanding of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems and engineering principles within the UK industry.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines, prioritize competing tasks, and deliver high-quality bids under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen eye for detail.
• Proficiency in bid software and tools, such as Microsoft Office Suite and document management platforms.
• A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving and stakeholder engagement.
• A commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace and building relationships across diverse groups and backgrounds.

Desirable

• Knowledge of procurement processes in the UK construction and engineering sectors.
• Familiarity with ISO standards, Building Information Modelling (BIM), and sustainability best practices related to MEP systems.
• Experience liaising with clients and stakeholders in the development of engineering proposals.
• Professional certifications in bid or tender management (e.g., APMP) or engineering disciplines.

Day-to-Day

• Engaging with cross-functional teams for input and providing clarity on bid requirements and deliverables.
• Drafting and editing key sections of bids with a strong focus on MEP-specific requirements.
• Tracking bid submission timelines while ensuring all deliverables meet deadlines.
• Conducting quality checks for compliance and alignment with client expectations.
• Analyzing feedback on previous bids and integrating learnings into future processes.
• Monitoring opportunities in the market and gathering intelligence to support future bid submissions.
• Actively participating in inclusion-focused team initiatives that build a collaborative and welcoming work culture.
