An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor based in North - East Scotland. Working as part of an established commercial team, you will support the delivery of a range of construction projects while developing your career within a well-structured and supportive environment.

The Role

  • Preparing bills of quantities and schedules of works
  • Managing subcontractor and material enquiries during tender stage
  • Assisting with subcontract procurement, agreements, payments, and awards
  • Attending project meetings and preparing minutes where required
  • Supporting the preparation of valuations, payment applications, and invoices
  • Re-measuring works from site measurements and drawings
  • Managing and issuing contract variations
  • Supporting the commercial management of contractual matters
  • Assisting with monthly cost/value reconciliations and reporting
  • Supporting agreement of client and subcontract final accounts

Requirements

  • Degree qualified or working towards a qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar
  • Experience in a commercial or quantity surveying role within construction
  • Strong commercial awareness and budgeting understanding
  • Good communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload and support project delivery
