Salary: £30,000–£35,000
Location: Yeovil or Taunton
Hybrid: 3 days per week in the office
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
The Role
An opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to join an established outsourced payroll team, managing a portfolio of clients across multiple payrolls and frequencies.
There is a particular focus on supporting NHS and medical payroll clients, so previous public sector or NHS payroll experience would be highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Process multiple client payrolls across different frequencies.
- Manage an allocated portfolio and act as a key contact for clients.
- Process starters, leavers, statutory deductions, absences and pension contributions.
- Complete RTI submissions, BACS payments and payroll reporting.
- Support auto-enrolment and pension processing.
- Resolve payroll queries and advise clients on payroll processes and procedures.
- Review payroll information to maintain accuracy and compliance.
Ideal Candidate
- Strong end-to-end UK payroll experience, ideally within a bureau/outsourced environment.
- Public sector or NHS payroll experience is highly desirable.
- Experience managing multiple payrolls and client portfolios.
- Strong knowledge of RTI, HMRC requirements, statutory deductions and pensions.
- Confident dealing directly with clients and resolving payroll queries.
- Iris Payroll Professional, PayCircle or Xero experience would be advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisation.
