Payroll & Finance Officer
Salary: £32,046–£35,570
Location: Predominantly Remote – Cheshire
Office Requirement: Approx. 10–12 visits per year during term time
Contract: Permanent
Systems: Civica Payroll & Xero
Key Responsibilities
Run the end-to-end monthly payroll across 13 schools and the central team.
Manage starters, leavers, changes, deductions and payroll adjustments.
Liaise with HMRC and other external bodies.
Manage Teachers’ Pension and Local Government Pension Scheme administration and returns.
Ensure payroll submissions and statutory deadlines are met.
Complete monthly payroll and budget reconciliations.
Upload payroll costs into finance systems and investigate variances.
