The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity for a qualified Audit professional to join an established Audit & Assurance team, taking greater ownership of client assignments and developing towards management-level responsibility.
You’ll work with clients across a variety of sectors, leading audit fieldwork, preparing financial statements and supporting junior members of the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for the planning and completion of audit assignments.
- Lead audit fieldwork, including substantive and analytical testing.
- Prepare and review audit files, ensuring documentation meets required standards.
- Produce statutory financial statements from client information.
- Identify key risks or areas of concern and communicate these to Managers and Partners.
- Manage assignments through to finalisation and senior review.
- Build strong relationships with clients and become a trusted point of contact.
- Support the delivery of portfolio budgets, deadlines and profitability targets.
- Coach, mentor and review the work of junior audit colleagues.
- Work across a varied portfolio of clients and industries.
- Ideal Candidate
- ACA, ACCA, CA or equivalent qualified.
- Strong audit experience gained within an accountancy practice.
- Experience managing audit assignments from planning through to completion.
- Good working knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Experience auditing clients across a range of sectors.
- Confident identifying and communicating audit risks.
- Previous experience coaching or mentoring junior team members.
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
- Organised, commercially aware and comfortable managing multiple deadlines.
