Trainee Door Engineer to join our client’s team based in Exeter, Devon. This is a permanent role ideal for candidates with a background in multi-skilled door engineering, particularly within Industrial and Auto doors. The successful applicant will work closely with senior engineers, gaining valuable experience in the repair, service, and installation of industrial and commercial doors, gates, barriers, and loading bay equipment.
Role Overview:
- Location: Exeter
- Salary: £14.5 per hour
- Hours: 37 hours per week
- Driving Licence - must hold a valid driving licence
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting weekly vehicle inspections, assisting with maintenance tasks, completing necessary documentation, and adhering to health and safety protocols.
- The role offers comprehensive on-the-job training, with ongoing support from experienced engineers to develop your skills and independence.
- Working with Industrial Doors, Roller Shutters, Sectional overheads and Steel Door Sets.
- Support with on-call rota.
The candidate must be computer literate, well-organised, a clear communicator, and hold a valid driver’s license. Flexibility, teamwork, and a willingness to learn are essential. Power tools and PPE are supplied, with personal hand tools provided by the applicant.
