We are recruiting for a leading Asset Finance House in their search for a Middle Ticket Credit Underwriter, where the deals will be £500,000 to £5 Million in size. We are particularly keen to speak with individuals who have already held an underwriting authority of at least £1 Million.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Analyse credit data and financial statements to assess risk in extending credit.
- Interpret and evaluate internal and external credit reference agency, broker, and market reports to determine risk levels.
- Conduct due diligence meetings with internal and external credit associations and business/customer representatives.
- Generate and evaluate financial ratios using internal credit tools to assess customers' financial status.
- Prepare risk reports with clear, concise, and rational recommendations for credit decisions.
- Exercise personal sanctioning authority with diligence and prepare recommendations for transactions outside personal sanctioning authority.
- Ensure compliance with industry guidelines and statutory regulations, including consumer credit, treating customers fairly, anti-money laundering, and other relevant legislation.
