Our Client is an established construction/manufacturing business based in Braintree and they are looking to recruit an experienced Credit Controller to take full responsibility for their subcontractor ledger. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident Credit Controller, ideally with strong construction industry knowledge to step into a key role within their finance team.
The Role:
- Full ownership of the subcontract credit control ledger
- Managing and monitoring subcontractor accounts
- Chasing outstanding balances and ensuring timely payments
- Resolving payment queries and discrepancies
- Liaising with subcontractors, site teams, and internal departments
- Maintaining accurate records and producing aged debt reports
- Supporting the wider finance team as required
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a Credit Control role
- Previous experience within the construction industry is preferred
- Experience dealing with subcontractor accounts is highly advantageous
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Organised, proactive, and able to work independently
- Confident using accounting systems and Excel
