About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Used Car Buyer to join our Pre-Owned team on a full-time basis in Southport. The successful candidate will call on and build relationships with automotive dealers, leasing companies, attend auctions/motor vehicle tenders and monitor online websites such as carsales.com.au, social media sites and other relevant publications.
Responsibilities
- Valuing vehicles offered for trade in
- Arranging direct purchase of stock to meet the trading needs of the used car sales centres
- Ensure online valuation leads are actioned
- Support retail sites by achieving monthly vehicle acquisition targets
- Ensure suitable stock mix is available
- Maintain strong relationships with the team
- Provide supporting documentation for all deals within approved timeframes
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a purchasing team
- Good knowledge of purchasing, commercial understanding, and cost breakdown
- Negotiation skills
- Valid drivers licence
- Ability to build and maintain effective and productive relationships
