James Frew Ltd is now one of the largest privately-owned building services companies in Scotland, providing integrated property solutions, including plumbing, heating, mechanical services, gas maintenance, electrical installation and building upgrades for the public and private sectors. Based in Stevenston Ayrshire, Glasgow and Airdrie, we directly employ over 400 people including 49 apprentices.
We are currently looking to recruit a professional Payroll Administrator, experience essential to join our Finance Department. The successful candidate's responsibilities will involve:
- Process a high volume weekly payroll from start to finish for approx. 270 staff
- Process a monthly payroll for approx. 20 staff
- Accurately calculate SSP, SMP and SPP
- Process starters, leavers and contractual changes
- Submit weekly RTI and month EPS
- Implement Earnings Arrestments and ensuring correct deductions
- Manage pension contributions
- Dealing with payroll queries
- Process all year end payroll
- Liaise with HMRC
The Payroll Administrator will require to have the undernoted qualifications, skills and knowledge:
- Honest and Trustworthy
- Have a good understanding of the payroll process and problem solving
- Keep up to date with new legislation
- Knowledge of Auto Enrolment and Pensions
- Knowledge of submission of EPS and RTI reports
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Good communication skills
- Good numerical skills
