Our client, a leading MSP is seeking a 2nd Line Engineer to join them on a full-time, contract basis for an initial period of 6 months. Due to an exciting period of growth our client is looking to expand their team of Engineers, and are looking for a 2nd Line Engineer to join them, where you will be responsible for providing a high level of technical support to a broad range of clients, working on daily tickets whilst working with the wider team of Engineers, working on both day-to-day support tasks and project work. Due to the location of the office candidates are required to have access to their own vehicle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resolve daily tickets from clients, supporting on software troubleshooting as well as installs and updates, as well as hardware faults
  • Attend client sites when required to fix onsite faults and hardware issues
  • Provide a high level of technical support to clients as well as maintaining a high level of customer service at all times
  • Work on a mixture of day-to-day support and project work
  • Act as the go-to for any questions or queries from other Engineers

Key Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar IT-related role
  • MSP experience is advantageous, although not essential
  • Used to providing a high level of technical support to a range of clients
  • Windows Server 2012 – 2022
  • Windows Desktop 7/11
  • Office 365 knowledge
  • Networking ability – DNS / Routing / Switching
  • VMware
  • Azure
  • Active Directory
