Our client, a leading and established Accountancy firm is seeking a Tax Accountant to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. Due to an exciting period of growth our client is looking for a Tax Accountant to join their team based in their Tunbridge Wells office on a hybrid-basis, working closely with colleagues across the business to support on tax queries from a broad portfolio of clients.

The ideal candidate will be CTA qualified and have practical experience in a Practice setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a high-level of tax advice and services across a wide range of services, including but not limited to income tax, corporate tax, inheritance tax and capital gains tax
  • Assist colleagues of all levels with tax queries on a portfolio of clients
  • Research complex tax issues and provide practical, solutions-driven advice
  • Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients
  • Offer tax planning and advisory services to clients
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, acting as a point of contact for any queries or questions where necessary
Key Experience:
  • Ideally CTA qualified or the ability to demonstrate a high-level of knowledge in all areas of tax, ideally within a Practice environment
  • Excellent communicator, confident liaising with colleagues, clients and third parties of all levels
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of UK tax legislation, tax planning and compliance
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience managing a portfolio of clients would be advantageous
