Our client, a leading, national business in their field is seeking a Payroll Manager to join them on a full-time, permanent basis to support the Finance function whilst taking ownership of the Payroll function within the group.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ Payroll experience, ideally at management level, where you have been required to support high-volume weekly and monthly payroll, owning the process from start to finish. Candidates will ideally have their CIPP qualification however those with transferable and demonstrable experience will also be strongly considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of the full payroll process, across both weekly and monthly payrolls
  • Lead, support and develop the payroll team, providing day-to-day support and workload oversight
  • Supporting both internal and external audits
  • Act as the first point of contact for any payroll-related queries
  • Produce payroll reports, insights and analysis for senior management
  • Ensure compliance with UK legislation

Key Experience:

  • CIPP qualified or similar practical experience would be advantageous
  • Minimum of 5 years’ Payroll experience
  • Confident working both independently and as part of the team, acting as the go-to for any payroll-related questions or queries
  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with payroll systems
  • Excellent communicator
