Our client, a leading business in the Financial Services industry is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join them on a full-time, permanent basis. Working as part of the Finance department in the business, the successful Accounts Assistant will support the day-to-day running and operations of the Accounts department ensuring financial transactions are processed accurately, records are maintained and financial administrative duties are all completed to a high standard.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Finance / Accounts Assistant role where you have contributed to the smooth-running of an internal Finance function.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the daily, monthly and weekly reconciliations process
  • Support processing payments
  • Maintain accurate financial records, ensuring company procedures are met at all times
  • Oversee bank account activity
  • Prepare and maintain financial spreadsheets using Excel
  • Act as the first point of contact for any finance-related questions or queries from other staff members or clients
  • Assist with month-end processes
Key Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an Accounts / Finance Assistant role
  • Confident with Excel and other financial systems, with the ability to pick up new technology with ease
  • Excellent communicator, confident liaising with colleagues and clients of all levels
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Happy to work both independently and as part of the wider team, using initiative at all times
