The CAD Engineer will play a key role in producing precise technical drawings and plans using advanced CAD software. The role will see you working in a small tight-knit team closely with the wider engineering function. You will transform concepts into accurate, high-quality designs that meet all required specifications and industry standards. What you’ll be doing:
- Update, maintain and develop detailed technical drawings using CAD software.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Ensure that all designs meet the required standards and specifications.
- Review and modify designs based on feedback and project requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of designs and revisions.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members on CAD software and design principles.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in CAD software and design.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in CAD design or a similar role.
- Autodesk experience advantageous.
- Good understanding of engineering principles and design standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and review and analyse problems.
- Experienced in building and maintaining stakeholder relationships.
- Technical certification or diploma in engineering or a related field is preferred.
