The company is at the forefront of Hyperbaric Rescue, along with being the leading supplier of commercial and defence diving equipment and saturation diving systems to the commercial industry.
To provide engineering design solutions and through life engineering support to the JFD product range. Workload can vary from new product design to meet client or internal specifications through to supporting an existing client's request to upgrade or change equipment in the field.
Provide engineering design input to new products and provide engineering support to the existing product range by assessing technical queries and providing engineering solutions. Creation of engineering documentation such as specifications, proposals, assembly instructions, test procedures, certification and reports.
Checking detailed electrical drawings and documentation, adherence to engineering and company standards and processes and compliance to internal and external standards & regulations. Ensuring engineering solutions are provided on time and on budget.
Site visits to other JFD offices and client assets as and when required. Accountability and responsibility as technical checker of drawings and documentation generated in support of the electrical engineer role. Focused on delivering high quality output to tight deadlines and willing to go the extra mile to ensure success is achieved.
Proven electrical and electronics design skills. Competent in the use of engineering design software tools/CAD packages. Ideally with experience from within a Graduate Engineer position. Experience with Product Lifecycle Management system for generating and storage of engineering packages.
Electrical and Electronics engineering degree or equivalent industry experience. Experience working to marine, defence standards and class society rules (mainly LR and DNV).
You will need to be able to pass security clearance for this role and also have the right to work and reside in the UK.
