We are looking for an experienced and proactive Workshop Manager responsible for leading workshop operations, ensuring the efficient assembly, testing and maintenance of JFD products in line with company standards and business requirements. Focused on safety, quality and operational readiness, they will manage a multi-skilled team of technicians, maintain facilities and equipment to the highest standards, and drive continuous improvements in performance and efficiency. As the business continues through a period of growth, this role requires an adaptable and agile leader who can effectively communicate and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels across multiple departments. A strong people leader who leads with integrity and accountability, they mentor and develop team members, promote a positive safety culture, and identify opportunities to enhance capability through skills development, innovation and new technologies.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead and allocate workshop resources to ensure the efficient delivery of products and services, maintaining compliance with specifications, productivity targets and commercial objectives.
  • Manage workshop operations, facilities and equipment, ensuring operational readiness, planned maintenance, certification compliance and adherence to QA and HSE standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement by monitoring performance, analysing processes and implementing efficiencies in line with KPI and business objectives.
  • Support the development of business cases and capital investment proposals to enhance workshop capabilities, facilities and equipment.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with the Safety Management System, including risk assessments, permits to work and safe working practices.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, planning and scheduling while managing workforce capability, training and competency requirements.
  • Collaborate with operational teams and stakeholders to effectively plan and resource project, facility and staffing requirements.

What we're looking for:

  • Degree qualified within either a mechanical or electrical discipline preferably within the manufacturing industry or evidence of transferable skills.
  • Experience and an understanding in project management / planning and scheduling.
  • Experienced with Diving Systems and associated Equipment.
  • Technical understanding of commercial / SAT diving operations.
  • Experience of cost controls and financial operational performance measures.
  • Requires good team management skills and the ability to create a constructive environment in the pursuit of common goals and objectives.
