The Role: Step into an exciting opportunity to shape the future of James Fisher as our new Group Events Lead, a pivotal role at the heart of the organisation’s strategic storytelling and stakeholder engagement. This is more than event management. It is about creating powerful experiences that connect people, ideas and purpose across the Group.

As the driving force behind our most high-profile internal and external events, you’ll lead the end-to-end delivery of flagship occasions from investor events to the annual Senior Leadership Conference and key leadership workshops. You’ll play a central role in bringing our strategy to life, supporting One James Fisher initiatives, showcasing innovation, and helping integrate new entities into our growing business.

Working in close partnership with the Executive Committee, External Communications, Marketing and divisional teams, you’ll ensure every event is seamlessly executed, strategically aligned, and reflective of our brand and aspiration. What you'll be doing?

  • Be in charge of the end-to-end planning and delivery of flagship Group events, including investor events, ensuring high standards and strategic alignment.
  • Own and deliver key internal leadership events such as the Senior Leadership Conference and strategic workshops, driving organisational alignment and supporting One James Fisher initiatives.
  • Oversee events linked to Group priorities, including innovation showcases, integration of new entities and other strategic programmes.
  • Maintain the Group events calendar, working with Divisions and Group functions to align priorities and optimise resources.
  • Manage all aspects of event delivery, from concept and planning through to logistics, programme coordination and on-site execution.
  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, including the Executive Committee and divisional leaders, to ensure events meet strategic goals.
  • Control event budgets and manage external suppliers, including agencies, venues and production partners, ensuring value and quality.
  • Work closely with External Communications, Marketing and Internal Communications to ensure consistent messaging and impactful stakeholder engagement.

What we're looking for:

  • Demonstrated experience delivering complex, high-profile events within a corporate or large-scale environment.
  • Proven ability to plan and execute a range of events, including leadership conferences, investor events and multi-site programmes.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams from concept through to delivery.
  • Confident engaging and influencing senior stakeholders, including Executive-level leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience managing budgets and external suppliers, ensuring cost control and high-quality delivery.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear briefs and agendas.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail, able to manage complex logistics, tight timelines and shifting priorities.
  • Experience working in a matrix or multinational environment is advantageous.
