The Role: The Mechanical Technician is responsible for the manufacturing, assembly and service of the company’s products as directed by the senior team. Instructs and delegates to the direct reports ensuring that products conform to QA processes and safety is adhered to. Individuals are trained on the appropriate product to deliver our products on time and in full.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Training of Trainee and Assistant Technicians
- Signs off controlled company documentation
- Planning workloads and delegating tasks
- Carries out all operational activities in a safe and reliable manner
- Participate in the movement of materials through workshop from start to completion
- Development of team’s skills and competencies
- Communication - effectively communicating with others, seeking clarification, and responding to feedback
- Organise and keep clean workshop areas
Qualifications & Experience:
- Completed a recognised apprenticeship or training program in a technical discipline to a minimum of a Mechanical/Engineering NVQ qualification (or equivalent nationally recognised qualification)
- Recognised proven skills in a mechanical discipline
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance and Health and Safety within the work environment
- Proven track record of designated discipline in a manufacturing/service environment
