The Role: As a Senior Draughtsperson, you will deliver clear, accurate design solutions—from initial concept through to detailed component, assembly, and system‑level drawings—using 2D and 3D CAD, primarily SolidWorks. Your work shall vary with project scopes, new product developments and updates to existing client equipment. Alongside your technical expertise, where required, you will provide leadership and guidance to ensure the draughting team delivers high‑quality outputs that meet departmental and business goals.

What you'll be doing:

  • Produce safe, cost‑effective, and manufacturable 3D design solutions to support engineering activities.
  • Create accurate machining, fabrication, and 2D schematic drawings.
  • Generate clear assembly, interface, and general arrangement drawings.
  • Provide draughting support to engineering and other departments as required.
  • Collaborate with the draughting team to share knowledge and develop effective design and modelling solutions.
  • Maintain and uphold all internal draughting standards and documentation.
  • Act as drawing checker within PLM, ensuring compliance with standards and quality requirements.
  • Support process and procedural improvements and contribute to developing less experienced draughtspersons.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Methodical, thorough, and highly organised approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Subsea or offshore industry experience.
  • SolidWorks proficiency; certification advantageous.
  • Experience with SolidWorks PDM Pro or similar vault systems.
  • Knowledge of gas and fluid systems; diving equipment or product design experience beneficial.
