About Us: Scantech Offshore part of the James Fisher Group, provide an impressive range of rental equipment, including air compressors, steam generators and rig cooling services, as well as designing, installing and commissioning bespoke heat suppression safety systems.

The Role: The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for supporting the warehouse team with general stores duties such as stock counts, goods arrival, issue of stock, and completing the packing of spare shipments. This role also provides support for the logistics team, ensuring the smooth operation of the warehouse and maintaining high standards of health and safety.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide general support to the workshop team in all aspects of warehouse activity.
- Ensure all received items are received and issued via IFS system
- Always maintain a professional and courteous approach to colleagues and customers.
- Support the logistics team with tasks including checking, packing, and unpacking shipments, stock counting, signing delivery notes, and issuing stock to the workshop team.
- Unloading/loading of spares shipments
- Ensure high standards of health and safety are always maintained.
- Identify personal training needs and bring them to the attention of the departmental manager.
Who are we looking for? You will need good communication skills and the ability to work on your own initiative if required, you will however, be provided with the correct training. The ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions and to self-motivate and time manage the workload.
Qualifications & Experience:
- You will need a good knowledge in all aspects of Microsoft Office, a level of computer literacy, good knowledge of English Grammar and good interpersonal skills.
- Experience with CRM and business management software’s would be a distinct advantage.
- General labouring experience and dealing with suppliers.
- Ideally, you will have a mechanical background and stock control experience.
- You will have Maths and English qualifications.
- Manual working background will be an advantage.
- A clean UK driving license along with a forklift license would be preferred.
*This role is to be based at our Great Yarmouth offices; Therefore, you will need to live within a commutable distance to this location.
